What is ozone?
Ozone, or “active oxygen,” is a gas composed of three oxygen atoms (O₃). At YoWash, ozone is injected into the water filling each washer at levels high enough to meet government sanitizing standards. It destroys bacteria, viruses, mildew, mold, and contaminants like fungus, spores, and oil — leaving your laundry visibly cleaner.

Is ozone green?
Yes. Ozone occurs naturally in the atmosphere and reacts so quickly with contaminants that it converts back to plain oxygen within minutes — never reaching the atmosphere as a pollutant. Ozone also eliminates the need for hot water on most washes, meaning lower electricity use and a smaller footprint.
